Thyroid MDT

The Thyroid MDT is a multidisciplinary meeting attended by Surgeons, Endocrinologists, Radiologists, Cytopathologists, Pathologists, and Radiation Oncologists.  In this meeting, suspicious thyroid nodules are discussed by the team.  This usually involves re-review of scans and biopsy slides, even if these have been performed elsewhere.  After the Thyroid MDT, we can make a definitive recommendation regarding management of suspicious thyroid nodules.

This may include recommendations for further biopsies or imaging, ThyroSeq (genetic testing), surgery, or follow up. 

The Cork Thyroid MDM takes place on the 1^st and 3^rd Tuesdays of the month at Cork University Hospital.
